Return Window
Returns are accepted within 5 calendar days of delivery for store credit only with the original receipt or proof of purchase.
Items must be returned:
- In original, unworn condition
- With original packaging
- With all included certificates, accessories, and complimentary items
All sales are considered final after the 5-day return period.
Any merchandise showing signs of wear, alteration, resizing, damage, or tampering will not qualify for return or exchange. The determination of item condition is made solely by House of Brilliant Shades.
Acceptable Return Conditions
We accept returns or exchanges under the following circumstances:
1. Quality-Related Return Requests
Returns or exchanges may be accepted if the received item has a verified manufacturing defect, quality issue, or shipping-related damage, including but not limited to:
- Missing stones
- Deformation
- Breakage
- Significant scratches
- Faulty craftsmanship
All products are carefully inspected and photographed before shipment.
To process a quality-related claim, House of Brilliant Shades may request:
- Clear photos taken immediately after delivery
- An unboxing video
- Additional verification documentation if necessary
2. Non-Defective Preference-Based Returns
If the customer is not fully satisfied with the style, appearance, or overall design of the item — unrelated to any defect or quality issue — returns may still be accepted, subject to approval and compliance with all return conditions.
In such cases:
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- Returned items must remain in original, unworn condition with all packaging and included materials intact
Return Authorization
Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded.

Return Shipping & Packaging Requirements
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
We strongly recommend using a fully trackable and insured shipping method. Returns sent without tracking may not qualify for store credit or exchange.
Returned items may be shipped using different outer packaging; however, customers are responsible for ensuring proper and secure packaging to prevent damage during transit.
House of Brilliant Shades reserves the right to refuse returns for items damaged due to improper packaging.
Required Return Contents
All approved returns must include:
- The jewelry item
- Original House of Brilliant Shades jewelry box
- GRA or IGI certificate (if provided)
- Any complimentary gifts included with the order
The following conditions apply:
- Missing jewelry box: $15 deduction per box
- Missing or damaged GRA or IGI certificate: Return may be refused
Each certification document is unique and non-replaceable and is required for product verification, authenticity confirmation, and resale purposes.
Ring Sizing Policy
Incorrect ring size selection by the customer does not qualify as a product defect.
We recommend returning the item for resizing instead of requesting a return.
House of Brilliant Shades offers one complimentary resizing service per order. Customers are responsible for:
- Return shipping costs
- Re-shipping costs after resizing
Custom Orders
All custom jewelry orders are considered final sale.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Engagement rings
- Engraved jewelry
- Size-modified items
- Personalized or bespoke designs
- Design alterations requested by the customer
Custom-made items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:
- Promotional or sale items
- Products listed in clearance campaigns
- Buy One Get One promotional purchases

Orders purchased using discount or promotional codes
(excluding first-time customer welcome discounts) - Orders paid partially or fully with gift cards
Refused Returns
House of Brilliant Shades reserves the right to refuse any return or refund request if:
- There is evidence of wear or use
- The item has been altered, resized, or damaged
- The return does not comply with this policy
- The return is considered abusive, excessive, or malicious
Examples of wear include, but are not limited to:
- Surface abrasions
- Scratches on the inner band
- Prong marks
- Visible scratches or scuffs on stones
- Bent or damaged settings
Examples of abusive returns may include purchasing multiple items and returning the majority without valid quality-related concerns.
International Orders
House of Brilliant Shades is not responsible for delays, customs processing, import taxes, duties, VAT, brokerage fees, or additional charges associated with international shipments.
Customs duties, taxes, and shipping charges are non-refundable for international orders.
The cost of approved international return shipping may be deducted from the issued store credit where applicable.
